the perfect place to stay

I went with friends for a wedding in Hvar. Ana couldnt have been more helpful - she even let us stay an extra day cos we were loving it so much. Whether you're a group of friends or a couple, this accommodation is perfect. The accommodation is clean, great location, I'd highly recommend it. Ana fetches you from the bus stop near the ferry and will help with anything you need.

Can't rate this one highly enough!

I wasn't sure what to expect with this one as my girlfriend did the booking after seeing it here on trip advisor and I'd just trusted her judgment. We were both very impressed with pretty much everything about it, with the host (Ana) offering to collect us from the ferry terminal (saving us quite a lot in hindsight). Our room was also a self-contained apartment for less than many of the small rooms we'd been given elsewhere through Croatia. We even had a sea view from our balcony. The place was very clean throughout, and in a great location - only a few minutes walk from the town centre and also only a couple of minutes walk up the hill above the best beach. There is also a very expensive hotel right by there that has an incredible pool area (with waterfall and waterslide!) and which allows non-guests to use the pool, loungers etc for about £14 a day. No-one seemed to be checking or asking for this though so you might not even have to pay it (I'm not saying whether we did or not....). Even if you do have to pay it, it seems much better to stay at Ana's and pay the fee - you'd save a fortune compared to if you actually stayed at the hotel!
Anyway, Ana went out of her way to make our stay enjoyable and was most helpful. There genuinely isn't anything bad we could say about our stay.

I would definitely recommend staying at Ana Dujmovic Apartments. They are extremely clean and are in a great location - a quiet area just 5 minutes from the centre of the town (be prepared for the steps though!) Hvar itself is a beautiful island and we would definitely like to visit it again. The best aspect of the apartments are undoubtably the owners - both Ana and her husband Antonio couldn't have been more helpful. They met us on our arrival and welcomed us with a drink. They
advised us on places to eat and visit (I'd recommend a taxi-boat to one of the Pakleni Islands) and went out of their way to make sure we had everthing we needed, without being intrusive.

Overall we thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Hvar and would advise you to stay in these apartments if you are planning a trip.

Stop your search, this is the Best place to stay on Hvar!

Ana was the friendliest, most charming host we met on our 3 week trip through Eastern Europe. She picked us up when we arrived and showed us to our wonderful 1 bedroom apartment. She was all smiles the whole time we were there and quick to offer tips and helpful recommendations. The apartment was spacious with a large kitchen and living room area. The kitchen is fully furnished with dishes and a small fridge. The balcony was great with a excellent view of the water. Comfortable bed and small but adequate bathroom. Nice shower and good pressure. Everything was spotless and clean.

It is a short 5 minute walk to the town. Here is the fastest route - turn left from the house and walk down to the fork in the road. Turn right and go down until the road starts to veer right. Go straight down the dirt road instead and look for the path to the stairs on the left leading down to the water. You'll go down and come out right next to the restaurants on the bay.

I highly recommend renting a scooter to tour around the island. They run about 250 HRK per day. Take the lower main road over to Stari Grad but on the way back, take the northern smaller road for great views of the island.

Ana's rooms are a great value and I would definitely stay here again! Feel free to contact me if you have any questions.

Decent basic clean accomodation

Stayed for a whole week. My thoughts do echo the general consensus of feedback. If you want reasonably priced self catering accomodation in Hvar, this place is great. Be prepared for a short stroll up some rather steep steps (numerous routes)! Our apartment was BASIC. If you want something with a bit of wow factor and don't want a mere humble abode this may not be the best for you. I did say to Ana when I left that a bucket to wash swimwear and perhaps some bigger glassware (the drinking glasses were like shot glasses!) would make life a lot easier. Cleaning utensils generally could have been better. But then it's a basic flat so I can understand why there isn't much clutter. Put it this way, this place is awesome in terms of a decent roof over your head which is great value compared to a hotel. And you can use the extra pennies to do luxury things on your stay like eat in nice restuarants, charter your own boat/ yacht and buy treats for yourself and family. Ana is very helpful and her home made olive oil (which she sells along with her herb and cherry brandy) was excellent.
